Stars are aligning for Eswatini’s celebrated worship minister Nothando Hlophe after reaching another career-defining milestone, becoming a double-platinum-selling artist in South Africa.

The achievement follows the phenomenal success of her Methodist Medley, which has amassed more than 10.28 million streams in South Africa, earning double-platinum certification and cementing Nothando Hlophe’s place among the region’s most impactful gospel artists.

The announcement was met with an outpouring of congratulatory messages from fans, fellow musicians and church leaders across Eswatini and South Africa, many describing the accomplishment as a victory not only for Nothando Hlophe but for the country’s growing creative industry.

For the award-winning singer, however, the milestone is less about personal accolades and more about the lives touched through her ministry.

Speaking in an exclusive interview, Nothando Hlophe said she was overwhelmed with gratitude and viewed the achievement as God’s doing rather than her own success.

“I feel incredibly humbled and grateful to God for this milestone. To become a double-platinum selling artist in South Africa is something I never imagined when I first answered God’s call to minister through music,” she said.

She added that every stream carried a deeper meaning beyond statistics. “Every stream represents someone whose life has been touched by the message of the Gospel, and that is what matters most to me.

” The gospel minister said the achievement was especially significant because she comes from Eswatini, proving that local talent has the ability to compete and excel beyond the country’s borders.

“As an artist from Eswatini, this achievement means even more because it demonstrates that our talent can reach beyond our borders,” Nothando Hlophe said.

She noted that the accomplishment also reflects His Majesty King Mswati III’s vision of showcasing Eswatini’s excellence on the global stage.

“This is not the end of the journey; it is an encouragement to keep serving with excellence, to continue sharing the Gospel through music, and to represent Eswatini with pride wherever God leads me.”
