LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Agriculture Chair and Sen. John Boozman is set to formally schedule a markup for the farm bill on Thursday, Aug. 6 for the U.S. Senate. The markup may include permanently offering E15 fuels year-round.
The revisions are set to loosen the restrictions surrounding ethanol. It will allow more refiners to sell E15 gas all year-round.
According to Politico, Republican senators have recently negotiated a revision that would expand ethanol sales.
The bill is said to more closely align with legislation advocated for by Sen. Deb Fischer.
