Jollibee’s Tim Ho Wan to double Taiwan footprint by 2030

Jollibee Group

MANILA, Philippines — Jollibee Group plans to double Tim Ho Wan stores in Taiwan over four years as it continues to expand abroad.

In a statement on Wednesday, the fast-food giant said Tim Ho Wan will double its Taiwan stores to 32 by 2030 through its local franchise partner Hoyii Life.

Before expanding to other market, Jollibee Group will test a mobile store concept in Taiwan.

“Our four-year growth plan builds on the strength of the brand, the capabilities of our Taiwan franchisee, and the market’s long-term potential. Jollibee Group will pilot a new Taiwan store format to reach mobile consumers and support Tim Ho Wan’s growth in other markets,” Lee Yeong Sheng Lee, CEO of Tim Ho Wan, said.

For its part, Hoyii Life will continue operating Tim Ho Wan in the market, and support Jollibee Group’s expansion program. Taiwan-listed Collins Co. Ltd.’s entry as Hoyii Life’s majority investor has boosted growth by providing resources for store expansion and new format development.

Following the acquisition, Tim Ho Wan’s expansion highlights its growing role in Jollibee Group’s Chinese cuisine portfolio. The brand joined Jollibee Group after its ownership and management transfer closed in January 2025.

Tim Ho Wan’s Sham Shui Po branch earned its 17th consecutive Michelin recognition since being under Jollibee Group.

“Our Taiwan growth plan reflects how the brand can create long-term value by working with capable franchisees to expand in markets where consumers are seeking authentic and accessible Asian dining experiences,” said Richard Shin, CEO of JFC International and global chief financial and risk officer of Jollibee Group.
