With Prime Minister Narendra Modi set to inaugurate the Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport on Saturday, the whole of the state and more particularly the people of North Andhra are looking forward to the opening day in Bhogapuram. Preparations are in full swing as the opening day draws near while thousands of workers are working round the clock to finish all sorts of work related to connecting roads.

All works are targeted to be completed by Friday. A committee comprising of eleven ministers formed by the state government is present at the airport to oversee the arrangements. Union Minister Rammohan Naidu and State Minister Lokesh have gone through the preparations and give directions to the staff. All arrangements are made according to the estimated two lakh ten thousand number of people attending the event.

The target has been set to mobilize eighty-eight thousand people from Vizianagaram, sixty-six thousand from Visakhapatnam, thirty-five thousand from Srikakulam, twelve thousand five hundred from Anakapalli, seven thousand five hundred from Parvathipuram Manyam district and two thousand from Alluri district.

Furthermore, 4759 buses have been arranged for the people coming to the event. Particular parking areas have been allotted for the people coming from the six districts. Breakfast will be provided to the attendees on buses departing from these districts while packed lunch will be given to them on their return journey in the afternoon. GVMC Commissioner Ketan Garg, Rajahmundry Commissioner Rahul Meena, Vijayawada Commissioner Dhyanachandra and Guntur Commissioner Ashok will look after providing sanitation, water and other facilities.
