The House I Live In: Josh White’s America
What: This is your chance to be among the first people to see a brand new musical. For the first time ever, the South Carolina New Play Festival is debuting a full production — “The House I Live In: Josh White’s America.” Not only does it tell the story of Greenville native Josh White, a pioneering Black musician and activist, but it does so from inside an authentic 19th-century European dance hall built downtown.

Hikes with a Naturalist
What: What’s better than hiking? Hiking with someone who actually knows what all those plants and animals flitting through the woods are. S.C. Department of Natural Resources Conservation Education is hosting a hike at Bald Rock Heritage Preserve this week with a naturalist.

Greenville Center for Creative Arts’ Art Bash
What: The Greenville Center for Creative Arts is celebrating its 11th anniversary with music, art demonstrations, food and beverage vendors, kids activities and a local art market. The event also doubles as a showcase for the most recent class of Brandon Fellows, who will debut the work they’ve created during their fellowship.
