Iraq, Lebanon discuss economic partnerships

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi said on Sunday that it is important to establish economic partnerships with Lebanon in different sectors.

Al-Zaidi’s remarks took place during discussions held in Baghdad with Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam and his accompanying delegation, according to a statement released by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

The two leaders co-chaired discussions between the two countries, where ministers from both sides attended.

The discussions focused on improving bilateral ties in economic, political, and security areas. They also addressed approaches to strengthen the two countries’ partnership to promote comprehensive and long-term development and benefit both the Iraqi and Lebanese people.

Al-Zaidi also highlighted Iraq and Lebanon’s close friendship, dedication to development, and the need to form beneficial economic collaborations across all development areas.

The prime minister also emphasized the importance of joint coordination between the two nations in addressing regional challenges and supporting efforts to boost stability, reduce tensions, and resolve disputes.
