Tamil Nadu’s Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) Minister Ramesh has ordered the suspension of eight employees of the Koniamman Temple on Periakadai Veedhi in Coimbatore.

The Minister said during the counting of the hundial collections on July 15, four workers had allegedly stolen one of the hundials, while officials failed to take action against them.

“We have ordered the suspension of eight employees, including officials. The police have also registered a case against them,” the Minister said.
