Typhoon Noul hits southern China, forcing evacuation of over 340,000 people

BEIJING – According to the China National Meteorological Center, the typhoon struck the coast of Huidong County in Huizhou City with maximum sustained winds of 145km/h.

The severe weather prompted authorities to evacuate hundreds of thousands of residents, suspend train services across Guangdong and cancel dozens of flights as officials raised the alert level to its highest in the worst-affected areas.

Emergency response teams remain on high alert as authorities continue to monitor the storm’s path and implement measures to minimize its impact and ensure public safety.
