Blaze damages Comatillo Camp in Monte Plata; no injuries reported

Monte Plata.- A fire broke out this Wednesday morning at the Comatillo camp, located in the community of the same name in the municipality of Bayaguana, Monte Plata province, causing significant material damage but no injuries or fatalities, according to preliminary reports.

The campsite was hosting hundreds of vacationers participating in organized summer activities when the fire began. As a precaution, all occupants were evacuated promptly and taken to safety, preventing any injuries.

Authorities confirmed that the incident resulted only in property damage. Emergency responders secured the area while officials began assessing the extent of the losses.
