Caribbean Airlines Limited has expressed “deep sympathy” to the people of Guyana following the tragic MV Barima ferry accident, pledging solidarity with the nation as search and rescue operations continue.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the airline said Guyana remains an important part of the Caribbean Airlines family and extended its thoughts and prayers to survivors, grieving families and all those affected by the disaster.

The airline also paid tribute to emergency responders and volunteers, commending their courage and dedication in the ongoing rescue efforts.

Caribbean Airlines said it hoped that strength, comfort and unity would surround the people of Guyana in the days ahead.
