VICE-President Dr. W.K Mutale-Nalumango was in Mwansabombwe District today as part of her continued visits to appreciate development projects being implemented under the New Dawn Government.

The Vice President said the visit provides an opportunity to interact with traditional leaders, civil servants, members of the clergy, and residents “as we work together to accelerate development and improve the quality of life for our citizens.”

Dr. Mutale-Nalumango said she paid a courtesy call on His Royal Highness Mwata Kazembe XIX, whose leadership “continues to play a vital role in promoting peace, unity, and development in Luapula Province.”

“Government values the partnership we share with our traditional leadership in advancing national development,” she said.

She said she looks forward to listening to the aspirations and concerns of the people, appreciating progress made, and reaffirming government’s commitment “to ensuring that no community is left behind.”

The Vice President said she will also engage the public through a radio programme and public meetings in Mwansabombwe and later on Lunga Island.

“These interactions are important because development is most effective when Government remains connected to the people it serves,” she said.

Dr. Mutale-Nalumango encouraged citizens to continue embracing peace, hard work, and unity “as we collectively build a prosperous Zambia.”

She added that the New Dawn Government “remains committed to delivering equitable development and creating opportunities for all citizens.”
