The Iowa High School Athletic Association has held baseball state tournaments since 1928 and the Hawkeye State remains the only state in the nation that plays summer prep baseball. Seasons conclude with eight teams from each of the four IHSAA classifications battling it out in the state tournament. (2025 state champions are listed below.)

The IHSAA baseball state tournament has been held at two sites since 2021. The 2026 tournament hosts are Veterans Memorial Stadium in Cedar Rapids (Class 4A and Class 3A) and Merchants Park in Carroll (Class 2A and Class 1A). Thirty-two teams across the four IHSAA baseball classifications will compete for state titles in elite eight tournaments July 20-24.
