The National Housing and Real Estate Development Programme (NHRP) announced yesterday that it had held an expanded meeting last Wednesday (15 July) with business leaders in the private sector on the execution and financing of development projects.
It said this comes as part of the Tripoli government’s vision to provide adequate housing for citizens and to strengthen partnerships with the private sector.
Chaired by the Director General, the meeting was attended by business leaders and specialists in finance, investment, and real estate development, alongside the NHRP’s consultants and department directors.
Mechanisms for cooperation and partnership
The meeting aimed to discuss mechanisms for cooperation and partnership with various private sector stakeholders—including real estate developers, local and international real estate investors, commercial banks, investment funds, financial service and brokerage institutions, real estate investment and development companies, and private financiers and investors.
The NHRP said the objective was to engage the private sector in the execution, financing, investment, and marketing of the integrated residential community projects overseen by it.
The NHRP also announced plans to hold further meetings and consultations with business leaders and investors in the coming period.
These efforts, it said, aim to enhance coordination regarding partnership, financing, and investment mechanisms, thereby supporting the implementation of affordable housing projects in collaboration with the private sector and achieving the NHRP’s goals of delivering integrated residential units that meet the highest standards of quality and sustainability.
