The Ayeyawady Region MSMEs Development Workshop on 14 July at the Pathein Hotel.
The Ayeyawady Region Government has announced that A Bank has provided 100 billion kyats in financial support for the development of agriculture and livestock-based Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) within the region.
Expressing deep appreciation, the statement notes that this financial support will provide local farmers, livestock entrepreneurs, and producers of agriculture and livestock-based value-added products with the necessary working capital in a timely manner.
According to a statement released by A Bank on 16 July, the bank—partnering with local entrepreneurs—participated proudly in the “Ayeyawady Region Agriculture and Livestock-Based MSMEs Development Workshop,” held at the Pathein Hotel in Pathein on 14 July. This initiative aims to practically address the primary challenge of working capital faced by local MSME entrepreneurs.
There are over 5,500 MSME businesses in the Ayeyawady Region. A Bank stated that it focused its discussions on providing financial support and market opportunities for agriculture and livestock-based MSMEs in this new digital era.
The discussions concluded that the bank would systematically arrange loan services using a “new specialized collateral model” to benefit MSME entrepreneurs. True to its motto, “A Right Hand to Hold,” the bank will continue to provide close support to local entrepreneurs, it stated.
