Batumi opens Euro Beach Soccer League B Division

The Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara – Tsotne Ananidze, members of the legislative body – Ramaz Jincharadze and Minur Paksadze, attended the opening event of the Euro Beach Soccer League B division draw in Batumi Boulevard.

The Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara shared glimpses of the opening ceremony of the Euro Beach Soccer League B division draw in Batumi Boulevard on its official Facebook Page on July 16, 2026, Thursday. A small note about the event was also shared along with its glimpses.

“Development of sport is one of the main priorities for our government. It is particularly good to see that our country is achieving significant success in almost every sport on the international stage and is dignifiedly represented.

Supporting sport, first and foremost, serves to promote healthy lifestyles, which is an important prerequisite for creating a healthy environment for future generations.

“I wish all participants successful competition, worthy competition and victories,” said the chairman of the Adjara High Council at the official opening ceremony of the tournament.

On the first day of the competition, the Georgian national team hosted the Norwegian national team. The match ended with the Norwegian victory.

In the Euroleague B division draw, along with the Georgian national team, there are: Latvia, Azerbaijan, Malta, England, Norway, and Slovakia national teams, who are fighting for promotion to the A division.

The event was attended by the Minister of Education and Sports of Adjara, Maia Khajishvili, Chairman of the Batumi City Council Ivane Maisuradze, representatives of central and local governments, members of the Georgian Football Federation, as well as representatives of the sports field, veteran footballers and fans.
