BG man arrested on suspicion of trading child sex abuse material

A Bowling Green man was arrested Monday on multiple child sexual exploitation offenses.

Kentucky State Police announced that Jackie Wayne Bloodworth, 57, was arrested on 10 counts of distribution of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance, 10 counts of promoting a minor in a sex performance and a count of procuring or promoting the use of a minor by electronic means.

According to KSP, detectives began an undercover investigation after learning that images of child sexual abuse were being shared on an online account tied to Bloodworth.

Police obtained and executed a search warrant for Bloodworth’s residence, leading to his arrest and the seizure of electronics belonging to him

Bloodworth remains in Warren County Regional Jail under a $50,000 cash bond and was arraigned Tuesday in Warren District Court, where a not guilty plea was entered on his behalf.
