Captain Hayley Matthews and Realeanna Grimmond put on a record-breaking 258-run opening stand to help West Indies complete a nine wicket win over Ireland in the first game of their three match ODI series.
It was also the West Indies highest successful ODI run chase and the highest partnership for any wicket for West Indies in ODIs.
Matthews ended unbeaten on 159 with 24 fours and two sixes, while Grimmond weighed in with 91, as West Indies set 270 to win, reached the target losing just one wicket and with 68 balls to spare.
Matthews had earlier bagged 3 for 52 and Afy Fletcher 4 for 49 to dismiss the Irish for 269.
Wicket-keeper Amy Hunter led the batting with 96.
The teams will meet again on Sunday in game two at the same venue.
