The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra 2026 has commenced. Today, in Champawat, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami flagged off the first batch of devotees. During an event held at the Tanakpur camp, the Chief Minister interacted with the devotees.
He urged them to promote Uttarakhand’s culture in their respective regions upon their return, noting that they were visiting the sacred land to seek the blessings of Lord Bholenath. He also appealed to the pilgrims to purchase local products in Dharchula.
He remarked that just as the Prime Minister is championing the ‘Vocal for Local’ initiative, they too should encourage local producers by buying local goods.
He added that upon returning to their respective states after the pilgrimage, they would serve as brand ambassadors for Uttarakhand.
