Two people killed Thursday in separate car wrecks, Arkansas police report

Two people were killed in separate car wrecks on Thursday, according to the Arkansas State Police.

Wesley Palmer, 20, of Manila died as a result of a wreck on East Highland Drive near Jonesboro around 7:30 a.m. on Thursday.

According to a preliminary crash report, the vehicle Palmer was driving crossed the center left turn lane and struck a Freightliner, which was pushed into another lane, where it struck a third vehicle. One juvenile passenger in the third vehicle was injured.

Additionally, a single-vehicle wreck at 2600 Dave Ward Drive in Conway left a 53-year-old woman dead.

Patricia Williams of Conway was killed when her vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree around 11 a.m., according to a report.
