VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Valley City Barnes County Development Corporation Director of Economic Development Jennifer Feist received approval from the Barnes County and Valley City Board of Commissioner to support a request for funds to establish the new single-family home buyer assistance program.

Feist said under the program, the city approved $10,000 per new home while the VCBCDC provided $30,000, totaling $40,000 to build six new homes in the city if prospective applicants meet the guidelines. She said the county approved $30,000 per home to build four new homes in the county.

The Barnes County and Valley City Commissions approved of the single-family home buyer assistance program on Tuesday, May 20th.
