Tbilisi begins rehabilitation of Lotkin Square

In the Lotkin settlement, on Khudadov Street, N102 square rehabilitation works are underway. Infrastructural and greening works will be carried out on an area of 4,200 sq.m.

Within the project, various types of trees and plants will be planted, a football field will be set up, children’s entertainment attractions, walking paths, gymnastics, and recreation pavilions.

The Mayor of Tbilisi, Kakha Kaladze, got acquainted with Deputy Kakha Abuladze at the beginning stage of the works.

The Mayor noted, “The area around Khudadov Street N102 has begun to be organized. At the request of the population, a recreation space is being built on this territory. It will be a very beautiful square, which will take into account all the necessary infrastructure so that citizens can rest and relax.”

“A football field, children’s attractions will be placed in the square. In addition, a ground retaining wall will be installed to strengthen the existing slope and ensure safety. Also, trees and plants will be planted, and an irrigation system and walking paths will be set up. The works will be finished by September, – said Kakha Kaladze.

In addition, the area will be equipped with video-monitoring cameras, an outdoor lighting network, a common-use staircase, and retaining walls.

Dismantling of the infrastructure at the address has already been carried out. A curb has been installed on the outer perimeter, and the area is surrounded by a security fence. Also, planting and forming of existing trees and plants were carried out.

At this stage, the ground is being developed, the retaining wall is being built, and the reinforcement work is being completed. The project, for which 850,000 GEL is provided, is implemented by the Nadzaladevi District Board.

Along with the mayor of the capital, Irakli Andhuladze, the spokesman of Nadzaladevi, and the deputy of the city’s majority, David Chelidze, were present.
