Saidu Gbla, an educationalist, teacher and sports enthusiast who played Nawettan football for Sierra Stars in Brikama, has died in Sierra Leone.
Mr Gbla was widely known for his contributions to education and his passion for sports, touching many lives both in the classroom and on the football field.
His death is a significant loss to those who knew him, worked with him and learned under his guidance.
“May his soul rest in perfect peace. My condolences to his family, friends, former students, teammates and loved ones,” said sports commentator and teacher Ebrima Sonko.
