IDAHO FALLS — The Idaho Falls Chukars have made a change at manager, with first-year skipper Les Lancaster resigning after 31 games at the helm.
Longtime pitching coach Bob Milacki has taken over as interim manager, according to GM Chris Hall.
“I’m grateful for the contributions Les made to the Chukars over the last 6 months,” Hall told EastIdahoSports.com. “I believe Bob Milacki will help build on the progress shown over the last 10 games.”
The Chukars went 5-5 over Lancaster’s final 10 games as manager, after starting the season with just two wins in their first 21 games. Despite the apparent turnaround, Hall said that the “results on the field” were not up to the team’s expectations.
They lost Milacki’s first game, 16-15, Thursday night, when the bullpen allowed 13 runs in the final three innings.

Milacki will finish the season as the interim manager. After the season, the team will open a search for the permanent skipper.
