ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Bernalillo County prosecutors dropped charges against country singer Bailey Zimmerman after the district attorney said he made full restitution.
Court documents KOB 4 obtained said investigators accused Zimmerman of causing $16,000 worth of damage at Sandia Resort & Casino after he canceled his show on May 27.
On Tuesday, Zimmerman issued an apology after prosecutors filed charges in the case.
“To my fans who bought tickets and showed up expecting a performance, I am so sorry, you deserved better from me,” Zimmerman said in part of his statement.
On May 27, investigators said Zimmerman threw instruments during sound check, tripped over himself and shoved band members.
Security footage reportedly showed Zimmerman spitting toward a security officer. After he returned to his hotel room, he canceled his show.
Investigators said cleaning staff found Zimmerman’s hotel room in shambles the next day.
