Often described as a confluence of faith, spirituality, and a challenging mountain journey, the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra begins on July 4. KMVN has finalized preparations, and arrangements along the pilgrimage route are being strengthened. According to KMVN, a total of 10 batches will undertake the journey this year. With approximately 50 pilgrims in each batch, around 500 travelers will participate in this sacred pilgrimage. The first batch will depart from Delhi on July 4 and arrive in Tanakpur.
Subsequently, on July 5, the group of pilgrims will travel to Dharchula via Pithoragarh. The traditional route for the pilgrimage passes through Tanakpur, Dharchula, Gunji, and Lipulekh Pass to reach Kailash Mansarovar. The Yatra will be conducted from July 4 to August 16. Special arrangements are being made for accommodation, meals, healthcare services, and security for the pilgrims. KMVN officials state that facilities at all rest stops and guest houses along the route are being reviewed to ensure pilgrims do not face any inconvenience.
Additionally, the Public Works Department (PWD) guest house in Haldwani has been handed over to KMVN to facilitate pilgrims returning from the journey. This guest house will soon undergo renovation and a makeover to provide better accommodation and resting facilities for pilgrims upon their return. Overall, KMVN, the district administration, and concerned departments are busy finalizing preparations for the successful conduct of the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, ensuring that this spiritual journey for the pilgrims is safe, convenient, and memorable.
