A Carencro pizza location that opened about three years ago will close in the coming days.

Pizza Amore by Pizza Artista, 3730 NE Evangeline Thruway, Suite F, announced this morning its last day of business will be Sunday.

“After much consideration, we have made the difficult decision to close,” the post read. “Serving this community has been an incredible privilege. From family dinners and celebrations to quick lunches and Friday night pizza cravings, you’ve allowed us to be part of your lives, and for that, we are deeply grateful.”

Pizza Amore opened in that space after La Pizzeria closed following a four-year stay there.

Founded by the Pizza Artista group, it has a location in Lafayette and others in Baton Rogue and Lake Charles. It closed a Broussard location last year.
