Coalition government earned public trust through welfare and development initiatives, says Minister

Highlighting the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government’s achievements during its first two years in office in the State, Minister of Transport, Sports, and Youth Services Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy on Friday (June 19, 2026) stated that the coalition government has won the trust of the people through its welfare programmes and development initiatives.

Addressing a public meeting at the district-level celebration of “Two Years of Trust – Development and Welfare” at the PVKN Degree College grounds in Chittoor, the Minister stated that the government had fulfilled several of its key election promises, including major welfare commitments under the ‘Super Six’ agenda, and was also focusing on infrastructure development and economic growth.

“Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is committed to ensuring that the benefits of the welfare schemes reach eligible beneficiaries. His vision is also to simultaneously create opportunities for investment, employment, and regional development. The State is witnessing renewed investor confidence, with several companies expressing interest in establishing operations,” he said.

Regarding the mango farmers in the district, the Minister stated that the coalition government had extended substantial support to them, including a subsidy programme to protect them from market fluctuations. He further highlighted major investments in drinking water, irrigation, and other public infrastructure projects in Chittoor District.

District Collector Sumit Kumar spoke about Chittoor’s steady progress over the past two years. He said that the administration had prioritised responsive governance, grievance redressal, and service delivery, enabling thousands of citizens to directly raise concerns and seek solutions.

He noted that significant resources had been allocated for welfare schemes, road development, and rural infrastructure. He said the district administration would continue to focus on improving public services, strengthening basic amenities, and ensuring that development benefits reached all sections of the society.

Chittoor MP D. Prasad Rao, MLA G. Jaganmohan, senior leaders of the coalition parties from all over Chittoor district took part in the programme.
