A public welfare camp and an exhibition of development schemes will be organized on June 19, 2026 (Friday) at 10:00 AM at the New Tehri Municipal Council premises. The event aims to disseminate information about the public welfare and development schemes of the Central and Uttarakhand governments to the general public and to ensure that eligible beneficiaries receive the benefits of these schemes. Vasudev Dangwal, Executive Officer of the New Tehri Municipal Council, stated that the camp is being organized in compliance with the directives of the District Magistrate of Tehri Garhwal. Various departments will set up stalls showcasing their respective public welfare schemes, achievements, and development activities. He mentioned that citizens would receive detailed information about various Central and State government schemes through this camp.
Additionally, information regarding the application process, necessary documents, and other relevant details will be provided to help eligible beneficiaries access the schemes, thereby enabling the maximum number of people to avail themselves of government benefits.
The Executive Officer noted that the camp’s objective is to provide information about the schemes and services of various departments to the public at a single location. All concerned departments have been instructed to ensure that their stalls are set up on time to avoid any inconvenience to citizens. Officials and staff from various departments will be present at the camp to address people’s queries and assist them in connecting with the schemes, ensuring that the benefits of government programs effectively reach eligible beneficiaries.
Executive Officer Vasudev Dangwal appealed to the district residents to attend the camp in large numbers, gather information about the various public welfare schemes of the Central and State governments, and avail themselves of the benefits based on their eligibility. He remarked that such camps serve as an effective medium for establishing a dialogue between the government and the public and for extending the reach of development schemes to the last person in the community.
