Readers in Vietnam were surprised to see Japanese manga artist inee post a message entirely in Vietnamese on her personal X account, expressing gratitude to local fans following the reprint of the Vietnamese edition of Love Bullet Volume 1.

The post read: “Thank you for supporting the Vietnamese edition of LOVE BULLET!! The book has been reprinted and is now available again at bookstores and online shops across Vietnam! The Cupids are celebrating with a bowl of pho.”

Pho is an iconic Vietnamese noodle soup with beef or chicken.

Love Bullet follows a group of Cupids, love-matching beings who never experienced love in life and are given a second chance after death to bring people together.

The series features a creative twist that reimagines Cupids as armed young women who use modern firearms instead of bows and arrows, blending humor with emotional storytelling about love, loss, and personal growth.

In addition, inee shared a new illustration inspired by Vietnamese daily life, further strengthening her connection with readers in Vietnam.

The illustration shows four characters from the series sitting together at a pho restaurant.

It includes familiar Vietnamese details such as red plastic chairs, plastic tables, utensil trays, and condiment containers, which quickly drew attention from fans.

The post spread rapidly across Vietnamese online communities, where many readers expressed excitement over the familiar cultural details, particularly the depiction of red plastic chairs and bowls of pho.

Others were surprised and pleased to see the creator writing in Vietnamese, with many leaving comments thanking inee and expressing hopes for future volumes of Love Bullet.

Inee’s Vietnamese-language post and illustration also reminded fans of the series’ unusual early journey.

When the first volume was released in Japan, inee revealed that the manga faced the risk of being discontinued due to underwhelming sales.

The information quickly circulated online and sparked strong support from manga readers in Japan and abroad.

Many fans purchased copies, recommended the series to others, or ordered Japanese editions from overseas to show their support for the creator.

Following that wave of attention, Love Bullet gradually gained greater visibility and continued publication with new volumes.

In Vietnam, the series has also built a growing readership since its official release.
