LOG leaders Scottland FC will be aiming to maintain their stay on top of the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) standings when they take on second placed Hardrock FC in a highly anticipated encounter at Rufaro Stadium this Sunday.
The top of the table clash is expected to attract massive attention as both sides are enjoying a good run in the league.
Both Scottland FC and Hardrock FC have lost one match this season in the ongoing PSL campaign in which the former is on top with 34 points, whilst the latter is second with 32 points.
Scottland FC walks into Sunday’s match with a spring in their step following a 3-0 win over Triangle FC Thursday in a midweek encounter and coach Norman Mapeza is hoping for consistency heading into this encounter.
“Like I said, its work in progress, and I have said it that we have to continue working and results will come.
“This is a process, all we need to do is to work on ourselves and improve on our mistakes.
“Other than that, we have to take each game as it comes,” said Mapeza.
On the other end Hardrock FC will be hoping to bounce back to winning ways following a 0-0 away draw to FC Platinum Wednesday in a midweek encounter.
The PSL debutant side has already been tagged title favourites by many, but Sunday’s test will be a yard stick for their title quest.
During their first round of the league meeting, Hardrock and Scottland played a 0-0 draw at Chahwanda Stadium in Kwekwe, and all eyes will be on them Sunday to see an overcomer between the two.
