Dibrugarh: An Indian Air Force (IAF) Antonov AN-32 transport aircraft crash-landed at Rowriah Air Force Station in Assam’s Jorhat district on Saturday, with initial reports indicating that one pilot is feared dead while the co-pilot sustained injuries.

Sources said the aircraft met with the accident during operations at the airbase. The injured co-pilot was immediately shifted to a hospital for treatment.

The exact cause of the crash-landing was not immediately known, and authorities are yet to issue an official statement on the incident.

Rescue and emergency response teams were rushed to the site shortly after the accident, while security personnel cordoned off the area.
