Visakhapatnam: Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations in Visakhapatnam distributed 10 bicycles to girl students of Koyyapeta village in Padmanabham mandal. With the aim of enabling them to pursue education more easily, the seva organisations gave the bicycles to beneficiaries from Sri Sathya Sai Bal Vikas.
According to organisation representatives, the students faced challenges commuting to their schools and colleges as they had to trek several kilometres from Koyyapeta village to Chinnapuram junction before boarding a bus or auto-rickshaw to reach their educational institution.
Identifying their daily difficulties, Gurunatha Rao, Bal Vikas Guru and convener of Reddypalli Bhajan Mandali, brought the issue to the notice of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations.
Responding to the students’ needs, the Visakhapatnam district unit of the organisation arranged the bicycles, helping the students continue their education and easing their daily commuting.
The bicycle distribution programme was attended by PRSN Naidu, district president, RA Naidu, district service coordinator, B Sai Kumar, city samithi convener, M Sathya Sai Kumar, zone in-charge, D Apparao, gram seva in-charge, and Gurunatha Rao, convener, Reddypalli Bhajan Mandali. The beneficiaries and their families expressed gratitude to Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations for their timely support.
