Everyone was waiting for the government order till now. Many thought that once the GO was issued, everything would be clear. But even after the GO came out, full-fledged bookings for “Peddi” have not yet opened in the Nizam area.
The GO, which was expected on Tuesday afternoon, was finally issued at night. The Telangana government granted permission for special ticket prices for “Peddi.”
As per the GO, ticket prices can be increased by up to Rs 100 in single screens and up to Rs 125 in multiplexes. These rates can be applied for 10 days, with five shows per day.
The government has also granted permission for the special premiere show at 8 PM tonight. The ticket price for this show has been fixed at Rs 600. However, permission has been given only for one premiere show. There will be no midnight shows.
Even though the GO is out, bookings have not opened fully yet. Initially, bookings were opened only in selected theatres on the District app. The booking window for tonight’s premiere shows has still not been opened completely.
Discussions are still going on with some single-screen theatres regarding revenue sharing. Full-scale bookings for “Peddi” in Nizam are expected to begin in the next few hours.
In some screens, shows are being planned from 4 AM tomorrow.
