The Coast Guard continued the search on Sunday, May 31, 2026 for a 10-year-old boy who disappeared at sea at Colonaire the previous day where he had gone with friends.

Reports reaching Searchlight indicate that Carlton Robiero of Park Hill, and some friends went to sea off Colonaire on Saturday morning for a swim; however, Carlton and one of the friends went farther out than they had in the past. Beginning to experience difficulties in the choppy waters, the friend decided to head for shore, and called to Carlton, but received no response.

When he reached ashore, he informed his friends of the situation.  The police were informed  who they alerted the Coast Guard Service and a Coast Guard vessel was dispatched to begin the search  for the school boy.

Their efforts were suspended as night fell on Saturday, and  the search resumed on Sunday morning.  However, there has been no sighting so far of little Carlton.  The  parents of the  boy were among those anxiously waiting on land in hopes for the safe return of their son.
