FOR TROPICAL NORTH ATLANTIC OCEAN, CARIBBEAN SEA, AND GULF OF MEXICO
AREA OF SPECIAL INTEREST: 10 – 20 °N AND 40 – 65 °W
Tropical Wave: A central Atlantic tropical wave has its axis along 51°W south of 15°N, approximately 628 nautical miles east of the island chain. It is moving westward at 15 to 20 knots. At its current speed, this wave is expected to affect Grenada on Saturday night into Sunday morning, bringing increased cloudiness and showers.
Elsewhere, tropical cyclone formation is not expected within the next 48 hours.
