Las Vegas police on Wednesday asked for the public’s help identifying a sexual assault suspect.

A girl was sexually assaulted Saturday by a male she met on a dating application, according to a Metropolitan Police Department news release.

The girl, whose age was not released, agreed to have the male pick her up from her home in Las Vegas, police said. The male drove them to the area of Russell Road and South Broadbent Boulevard, near Sam Boyd Stadium, where he sexually assaulted her, police said.

The male then produced a knife and chased the girl away from the vehicle, where she had left some personal items, police said.

Police released photos of the suspect and an SUV.
