UCA Brings Jon Heder, Ann Wilson, Broadway Hits & More to Arkansas

University of Central Arkansas Public Appearances has announced its 2026-27 season lineup, bringing Broadway productions, nationally known musicians, family-friendly performances and special live events to Conway throughout the year.

 

The new season at Reynolds Performance Hall will include productions such as CLUE, Mrs. Doubtfire – The New Musical Comedy, A CHRISTMAS STORY – The Musical and SHUCKED, along with concerts and special appearances from performers including Ann Wilson, Mark Chesnutt and Straight No Chaser.

Additional events will feature Jeff Corwin, Richard Thomas and a live conversation with Jon Heder and fellow cast members from “Napoleon Dynamite.”

 

“We could not be more excited to unveil a season that truly raises the bar,” UCA Public Appearances Executive Director Amanda Horton said. “From iconic voices like Ann Wilson to crowd-pleasing Broadway productions like ‘Mrs. Doubtfire’ and ‘Shucked,’ and unforgettable appearances by actors like Richard Thomas and Jon Heder, this lineup is packed with can’t-miss moments.

“It is a dynamic, star-studded series that showcases the very best in live entertainment.”

 

The season includes multiple performance series, including Broadway, Pops, Night Out, Main Stage Education and Windgate Collection events.

Among the Broadway Series highlights are “Clue” on Oct. 23, “Mrs. Doubtfire – The New Musical Comedy” on Nov. 15, “A CHRISTMAS STORY – The Musical” on Dec. 8 and “SHUCKED” on Jan. 29.

 

The Pops Series will feature Ann Wilson on Sept. 15, Mark Chesnutt on Nov. 13, The Fabulous Equinox on Feb. 16 and Frankie Moreno Rock N’ Roll Remastered with the Conway Symphony Orchestra on March 6.

The Night Out Series includes “Celtic Angels Christmas” on Dec. 11, “Mark Twain Tonight starring Richard Thomas” on March 4, “CIRQUE KALABANATÉ – WOW World of Words” on March 12 and “Tales From the Field With Jeff Corwin” on April 8.

 

Family-focused programming will also remain a major part of the season. The Main Stage Education Series includes productions such as “Velveteen, A New Musical” on Oct. 13, “Curious George – The Golden Meatball” on Nov. 9, “Catkid Comic Club the Musical” on Dec. 16, “Doktor Kaboom! Look Out! Science is Coming!” on Feb. 2 and “The Pout Pout Fish” on Feb. 19.

A special benefit performance of “Fraggle Rock: Back To The Rock!” is scheduled for Nov. 2.

 

The Windgate Collection, which will be held at the Windgate Center for Fine and Performing Arts, features “Cantus: Land That I Love” on Feb. 4, “EXILE” on Feb. 28 and “Twitty and Lynn: A Salute to Conway and Loretta” on April 3.

“The Main Stage Education Series has now served more than 80,000 students over the past 11 years and remains a vital part of our mission to connect young audiences with the arts,” Horton said. “By providing access to engaging, high-quality performances, we are helping to inspire creativity, enhance education and ensure that every student can experience the power of live performance.”

 

Subscription renewals for current ticket holders are available now, while new subscription packages will go on sale June 15. Individual tickets will become available to the public July 20.
