MBABANE – Mbabane East Member of Parliament (MP) Welcome Dlamini handed over rubberized rainsuits to Msunduza Community Police.
This was on Friday, 22 May 2026 and the MP confirmed the donation.
“I am pleased to announce that today I handed over 33 sets of rubberised rainsuits to the dedicated men and women of the Msunduza Community Police Forum,” he said.
The MP said this donation formed part of his ongoing commitment to supporting community policing initiatives within the Mbabane East Inkhundla.
“The rainsuits will provide essential protection against the elements, enabling our community police officers to carry out their vital duties more effectively and comfortably, especially during the rainy season,” he said.
Dlamini said this latest contribution builds on previous support he has extended to the Msunduza Community Police, which included the donation of safety boots and jackets.
These items, he said, are practical tools that directly assist their community police in maintaining safety, visibility, and professionalism as they work hand-in-hand with the Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPS) to keep communities secure.
He said community policing remained one of the cornerstones of safety and development in Mbabane East.
“I firmly believe that when we equip and empower our local community structures, we create stronger, safer, and more cohesive neighbourhoods.
I wish to commend the Msunduza Community Police for their selfless service and unwavering dedication to our people. Your work does not go unnoticed.”
He said he remained committed to continuing this support and will keep working closely with all community police forums across Mbabane East Inkhundla to ensure they have the resources they need to serve communities effectively.
