The 2026 Region 3B Baseball Tournament got underway on Monday with games at Wishek and at LaMoure.

(4) New Rockford-Sheyenne 7 (5) Kidder County 4

A seven-run fifth inning turned a three-run deficit into a win for the Rockets.  After Wolves’ starter Blake Binder allowed only two hits in the first four innings, New Rockford-Sheyenne scored seven runs on two-run hits by Skye Kramlich and Jaxon Simon gave the Rockets a lead they would not relinquish.  Dane Stroh hit an inside-the-park home run for Kidder County, who will face Valley City on Tuesday.

The Loboes cruised into a Regional Semifinal with a win over the Rockets.  Gunnar Thielges and Mason Warcken each drove in three and Colby Thielges had three hits, three runs scored and two RBI.  Gunnar also tossed a complete game on just 63 pitches, allowing two hits and a run with a walk and six strikeouts.  Jax Demester doubled and scored for New Rockford-Sheyenne, who will face Carrington on Tuesday

(3) Valley City 20 (6) Carrington 0 FINAL/5

The Hi-Liners rode to a swift victory as they dominated the Cardinals. The Hi-Liners would score 9 runs in the 1st, 1 run in the 2nd, and 10 runs in the 3rd. Corbyn Powel would have a solo home run and a grand slam in the 3rd inning with Jack Samuelson also hitting a home run immediately after the grand slam. The Cardinals will now play the Rockets at noon on Tuesday.

(2) South Border 13 (3) Valley City 3 FINAL/6

The Mustangs rode a 7 run 6th inning to get to a semifinal berth on the Tuesday as they 10-run-ruled the Hi-Liners. The game was close till the 6th inning with the Hi-Liners leading after 1 1-0. The Mustangs would score 2 runs in the 2nd and 3rd as well. Th Hi-Liners would score a run in the 4th and 5th to bring it back to 4-3. The Mustangs would score 2 more runs in the bottom of the 5th and then finish if in the 6th to win 13-3. The Hi-Liners will play Kidder County in an elimination game tomorrow in game 2 while the Mustangs play the Loboes in game 3 for a semifinal match.
