Eurovision winner Dara had ‘doubt and anxiety’ about taking part | Culture

Bulgaria’s first-ever-Eurovision winner Dara Nikolaeva Yotova confessed to the media, she had “doubt and anxiety” before entering the contest.

Thanking her husband for “pushing” her in participating in the competition, she said,  ”In the beginning, I was not sure if I want to come or not, because I had anxiety and doubt in myself.”

The 27-year-old won the Eurovision song contest in Vienna, Austria on Saturday (16 May) with Bangaranga, racking up an impressive 516 points at the Wiener Stadthalle.

Israel’s Noam Bettan took second place with 343 points, while Romania’s Alexandra Căpitănescu finished third with 296 points.
