AP Cabinet Discusses Austerity Measures and ‘Work from Home’ Policy

The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet met today at the Secretariat, chaired by Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, to deliberate on key issues. The meeting focused on austerity measures proposed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the implementation of a ‘Work from Home’ policy for state employees.

The Chief Minister stressed the importance of national protection, calling for public awareness and suggesting a “No Vehicle Day” weekly. He directed ministers to avoid foreign tours, use public transport or bicycles, and transition to electric vehicles.

Officials were asked to prepare reports on austerity measures, with a Cabinet Sub-committee to monitor progress. Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan suggested a gradual approach to austerity.
