Mongolian Parliament Speaker meets with Ambassador of France
AKIPRESS.COM – Chairman of the Parliament Byambatsogt Sandag received Ambassador of France to Mongolia Corinne Pereira Da Silva on May 12, Montsame reported.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on expanding inter-parliamentary cooperation and providing opportunities for Mongolian students to study in France in the fields of artificial intelligence, energy, and high technology.
Chairman Byambatsogt noted that France is a world leader in space research, civil aviation, and nuclear energy, and expressed Mongolia’s interest in cooperating to train young Mongolians in aircraft and satellite engineering, artificial intelligence, and energy-related fields.
In addition, they discussed Mongolia-France cooperation, the implementation of the strategic project being carried out with Orano Mining, and joint efforts to combat desertification. Chairman Byambatsogt expressed appreciation for France’s decision to provide approximately 1 million euros in funding for the “Combating Desertification in Mongolia” project.
