7 injured in Avondale crash, teen driver cited

Seven people were injured in a Northwest Side car crash Saturday night.

The crash happened in the Avondale neighborhood around 10:30 p.m. in the 2800 block of North Pulaski Road — at the intersection of Pulaski and Diversey Avenue.

A 17-year-old girl, driving a gray sedan with four passengers, made a turn at the intersection and crashed into another gray sedan carrying two people.

The drivers and passengers in both cars are in good condition. They were taken to Stroger Hospital with minor injuries.

The teen driver was issued four citations. She was driving an adult male, an 18-year-old woman, and two girls ages 16 and 14. The other car in the crash was driven by a 61-year-old man and an adult female.
