Hyderabad: The Malkajgiri cyber crime police intensified crackdown on cyber fraudsters, detecting two cases with the arrest of two persons this week.
The police launched the crackdown against cyber fraudsters involved in fake investment scams operated through trading apps, WhatsApp groups, and fraudulent online platforms with pan-India links.
The police officials refunded Rs.4.31 lakh to victims through court process and took swift investigation, enabling them to nab interstate arrests. They said continuous action would be taken against the cyber offenders
They cautioned the people to beware of fake investment offers and guaranteed returns. Do not trust unknown apps, suspicious links, or online trading groups and verify before investing online. Report cyber frauds immediately to 1930, they added.
