Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly arrived in Djibouti on Saturday, May 9, 2026, to attend, on behalf of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, the inauguration of Djiboutian President Ismail Omar Guelleh.
Upon his arrival at Djibouti-Ambouli International Airport, the prime minister was received by Djiboutian Prime Minister Abdoulkader Kamil Mohamed and Egypt’s Ambassador to Djibouti Abdel Rahman Raafat.
Spokesperson for the Cabinet Mohammed al-Homsani said that Egypt’s high-level participation in the inauguration ceremony reflects the deep and distinguished brotherly relations between Egypt and Djibouti and underscores Egypt’s keenness to strengthen frameworks of cooperation with the sisterly nation across all fields.
