By: Madi Senghore

Football administrator Kemo Ceesay has unveiled “The Coach”, a campaign and manifesto framework ahead of the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Elective Congress scheduled for August 2026.

The manifesto outlines a leadership agenda built on principles including transparency, holistic development, excellence, capacity building, opportunity, accountability, collaboration, and heritage and innovation.

According to Ceesay, the initiative aims to promote sustainable growth and strengthen the development of football in The Gambia at both domestic and international levels.

The document was developed following consultations with stakeholders across the football sector, including players, coaches, referees, administrators, clubs and supporters.

Ceesay said the manifesto would provide an inclusive roadmap for the development of the sport, with further stakeholder engagement planned before its official launch.

With more than 20 years of experience in football administration, Ceesay has served under several GFF leaderships and has held roles including coach, club executive and finance director.

He said the campaign would prioritise inclusivity and collective participation as the country prepares for the August 2026 congress.
