BALTIMORE, Md. – The Baltimore Ravens signed New Mexico native Diego Pavia on Tuesday, according to multiple reports including NBC sports.
Pavia was the first Heisman Trophy finalist to go undrafted since 2014.
The Vanderbilt quarterback was signed by the team after accepting an invite to the Baltimore Ravens’ rookie mini-camp.
Pavia previously played for NMSU after playing at Volcano Vista High School and New Mexico Military Institute.
Pavia’s team name has also come full circle. As a child he played for the Rio Grande Ravens in the Youth American Football League.
