Meet the 5 western Maine girls lacrosse players to watch in 2026

Grace Allen, Mt. Blue senior attack/midfielder: Allen was a solid contributor for Mt. Blue last season when she put up 14 goals and recorded 11 assists. She also scooped up 39 ground balls and forced 14 turnovers.

Anna Courtemanche, Lewiston senior attack: The University of New England commit is expected to be a leader for the Blue Devils after scoring 19 times and adding three assists last spring. She was selected to the Sun Journal All-Region team and was a KVAC first-team selection.

Lily Huntley, Mt. Blue senior attack: Huntley racked up 49 goals for the Cougars in 2025. She also dished out 24 assists, grabbed 49 ground balls, caused eight turnovers and won six draw controls.

Maddie Ranger, Edward Little attack/midfielder: Ranger is expected to pace the Red Eddies’ offense. First-year coach Dave Frahm said she is an aggressive shooter and makes quick decisions.

Kerrigan Watson, Oxford Hills junior defender: Watson’s defensive skills will be important for the young Vikings. She earned Sun Journal All-Region honors and was a KVAC first-team selection last season.
