Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko has said eight people injured in the shooting in the Holosiivskyi district on 18 April are currently being treated in the capital’s hospitals.

Quote: “Currently, eight people injured yesterday by a shooter in the Holosiivskyi district remain in the capital’s hospitals. Among them is one child in a stable condition of moderate severity. Among the adults, one person is in a severe condition, three are in a serious condition and three are in a moderate condition.”

According to Ukrainska Pravda sources, his name was Dmytro Vasylchenkov and he was born on 21 April 1968 in Moscow. He held Ukrainian citizenship and had previously lived in Bakhmut, Donetsk Oblast, before moving to Kyiv’s Holosiivskyi district.

Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko confirmed that the shooter was a 58-year-old Moscow-born man.

Klymenko said the shooter used a registered weapon during the attack.
