Hawaii Rainbow Warriors Tread Rosenthal, Ofeck Hazan and Louis Sakanoko put down a block against Cal State Northridge Matadors Jalen Phillips during a Big West match Saturday at the Bankoh Arena at Stan Sheriff Center.
Adrien Roure tied a career-high with 17 kills and No. 2 Hawaii secured the second outright Big West regular-season championship in program history with a 25-15, 21-25, 25-14, 25-16 win over No. 18 Cal State Northridge tonight.
A Bankoh Arena at Stan Sheriff Center crowd of 8,223 saw Hawaii set a season-high in blocks with 14.5 and finish the regular season 26-4 overall and 9-1 in conference play.
Hawaii honored its lone senior, Vladimir Kubr, after the match. Kubr was in the starting lineup and had the first three assists of his UH career over three rotations before he was replaced by Tread Rosenthal entering the front row.
He returned in the fourth set with UH ahead 20-10 and closed it out with two more assists.
Kainoa Wade added 13 kills and hit .579 with six digs and three blocks in his second straight start.
Louis Sakanoko added seven kills and tallied a season-high six blocks.

Rosenthal finished with 36 assists, seven digs and six blocks.
Hawaii will next play in the first semifinal of the Outrigger Big West Men’s Volleyball Championship on Friday against the winner between UC Santa Barbara and UC San Diego in Irvine, Calif., at 2 p.m. Hawaii time.
